A Bit about Us

Randy and Scott Beeninga opened Foreign Accents in 1974, but their love of cars can be traced back to when they were kids.
Ask them about their first car purchase – a $25 Volkswagen Beetle they pushed two miles back to their house when they were 13 and 11.
This love is still obvious in everything that goes on at Foreign Accents.

Randy’s American Dream

My father was a well educated man. I told him in 1974 when I was nineteen years old that I did not wish to continue my education but instead planned to open my own business. I could see the concern in his expression. I also knew he could see the passion in mine. We shook hands and agreed to start the business. He asked only one thing of me. “Son, promise me one thing. Promise me you won’t have an old dog sleeping on the couch in the customer waiting area.” For over forty years I have managed to keep my promise to my father.
